Cristina Casarini

We welcome back Cristina Casarini to Eastbourne '09.

Since 1985 Cristina has been studying international folk dances and songs of Europe, Africa and the USA. She studied the teaching of folk dances with Jan Knoppers (National Academy of Dance in Rotterdam – Netherlands), and has led folk dance workshops for children and students in several different degree courses in Italy.

Since 1989 she has been leading "in-service" courses for teachers in nursery and primary schools to teach dances to children. Using dances from her huge repertoire Cristina also runs courses for adults in Italy and throughout Europe.

From 1990 to 2004, Cristina performed with the “Terra di Danza Company” in seminars, workshops, courses and shows all over Europe. She has been a teacher of dance and songs at the seminars held annually in Italy by Terra di Danza, and has co-produced several shows.
