2011 Performers
Barefoot
BAREFOOT love to play!

Between them they have made music in most parts of the world, America, Russia, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and many others.

Barefoot the band comprises Kevin on accordion, Bill on whistle and bones and Meg on guitar and things that can be hit. Lesley makes occasional guest appearances on shaky egg! Their repertoire covers the full spectrum of country-dance from village hall socials to costume balls and festivals; their music played with passion and energy coming right from the soul. All three are dancers with years of experience at their feet (and hands) and have been involved with social dance, morris and sword. Bill currently dances with Ilmington Morris and Kevin is musician for Chipping Campden; Meg organises the highly acclaimed Alcester Contra dancers that regularly attract musicians and dancers from across the water.

When Barefoot come together you can be guaranteed an evening to remember, if Bill and Kevin get together you can be guaranteed an evening you won’t ever forget. But that aside they make good wholesome music that is a joy to listen to and a must to dance to. Tunes old and new, traditional and self penned, who knows, we may even get a guest appearance from Nellie the Elephant just when it is least appropriate or expected.
BAREFOOT - Bill, Kevin, Lesley and Meg - have been singing and playing folk music together, separately and with others for as long as they can remember – and sometimes with their shoes on.
