Eastbourne is the first folk dance festival (and the most friendly) each year for traditional dancers.

Festival director Ray Goodswen includes English, Playford, American, Scottish, Irish and other European folk dances (including Balkan, Greek, Swedish and Italian) in his programme. In addition there are special displays such as Thai folk dances and Belly dancing from different countries. Eastbourne is a truly multicultural festival with bands and teachers from England, America and Europe.

Over the long bank holiday weekend at this friendly festival there are over 40 folk dance workshops and dances plus two free concerts in the canteen while you enjoy the catering of our resident caterers 'Chez Nous' a favourite at many festivals. Food is available all day.

All the activities are on two adjacent sites at Bishop Bell and Langney schools an the Eastern outskirts of Eastbourne. There is also room for your camper van/caravan on site as well as limited space for camping.
